Way to drop the ball.
So, many of you know, but for those who don't, this past weekend was Brew Fest in Clayton, WI. Ant and I decided to get our drink on. Being the normally well prepared person that I am... I dropped the ball. I didn't bring any of my own business cards, or even wear my Wisconsin Drinking shirt! However, lucky for me... Ant brought both his business cards, and his Wisconsin Drinking shirt. I searched and searched, but I was only able to recover one business card... and it was from this happy little drunk pictured below.
Despite drinking as much as we could, we... well I, was still able to muster not only a spoken language, but continue to walk. Between the man pictured above, and my own lack of people skills, we were able to talk to the ringleader of the Lion's Club in hopes to secure making the shirts for them in 2011. We talked to many people that day, people that loved the shirt as well as having shirt ideas of their own! We have definitely made a few new friends, one new enemy, and hopefully some contacts for some future business. For anyone that has not been to the Clayton Brewfest... there are a few things you should know.
1. Go. It's only $30 and it's all you can drink beer from at least 15 vendors.
2. There is a horseshoe tournament, come on! Horseshoes, and drinking, not one person lost a foot! ...and bruises go away.
3. The BitB crew is always there, and we will be sponsoring next year. Try to win a shirt!
4. No one ever leaves this party unhappy.
7. There are probably two pointers before this one.
Since I am actually typing this while being on a break from my class, I figured I would leave everyone with a video clip. It's not in too many places... well, outside of Wisconsin, that you can find a beer party, held at a gun range, that has two teeter-totters for drunks... I mean beer enthusiasts. So next year, come visit us! Who knows what you might get just for showing up!
